Irradiation forecasts for the next few days
The product SolarForecast provides accurate irradiation forecasts for the next 72 hours for energy producers, grid operators, energy providers and direct marketers as well as building automation. The system is based on global weather prediction models. The forecast values of the weather models are statistically optimized with real measurement data from weather stations. The standard product includes the hourly delivery of the following parameters for the next 72 hours:

The predictions can be accessed at any time via the webservice (API). The data can be retrieved in various output formats: CSV, XML or JSON. Technical documentation of the API can be found here.
The sites can be independently registered in a simple manner via the same webservice. The webservice also allows you to add, read, edit, and delete the sites. This gives you the greatest flexibility possible.
The core competence of Meteotest lies in the field of irradiation forecasts. For performance predictions of solar energy plants Meteotest collaborates with the German startup TeSolva.
With their product REALCAST, TeSolva offers high quality performance predictions based on the irradiation forecasts of Meteotest. REALCAST is based on a hybrid methodology which connects statistics with physical system simulation.
